We are kinda a wee bit nuts about integrity, actually. As you can see, most of our clients love their trips. We have a very few less than happy clients, and we always do our best to learn from that. We do our best, but like everyone, we sometimes make mistakes. Just not often. Adventure travel is not for everyone. Just most people :) ”

Our trip was awesome. Since we were a family group, Ken became a member of the family. He made the trip very special for each of us.

It was great to swim with dolphins and see whales, penguins, seals and sea lions! The hiking on HumpRidge was challenging and fun. Lots of wonderful memories!

For those who love to check out the wildlife as well as hike, this is the trip for you! Whale watching giant sperm whales, swimming with the beautiful dusky dolphins, albatross soaring the Dunedin gales, yellow-eyed penguins waddling on the beach, and birds of all sorts singing us along the Hump Back Ridge Trail. This one has it all! The hikes were beautiful and the scenery outstanding. The entire operation is run beautifully and exceeded our expectations. We would certainly do another Active trip and will recommend to any friends interested!

Sperm whale sightings, swimming in a pod of over 100 dolphins, hiking Humpridge Track, exploring tide pools and hiking steep day-treks. Couldn't have hoped for more.

A great chance to see the diverse terrain of New Zealand's South Island! The trip ranges from the shore to mountains and to the temporate rainforest before concluding with a cruise on Doubtful Sound.
While there is a chance to view the bird and sea life of New Zealand, the primary focus is hiking and having the chance to visit these areas. Those wanting to have a long time to sit and watch the animals may be disappointed. Those who want a chance to experience the diversity while getting in some great hiking will be thrilled.

A wonderful family vacation! Honoring my mother's 70th birthday required something special. My husband and I decided that a trip to one of the most beautiful countries in the world would be just the thing. Active provided us with an adventure that would be suited to each of us. Our amazing Active guide, Ken Dixon, worked with us to tailor our activities so that each of us was challenged and none felt overwhelmed. His energy, enthusiasm and positivity kept us trying new things, laughing and getting along. We had a GREAT trip!

The trip was great and the guides wonderful, no complaints. Difficult to say a trip of a lifetime, still so many more places to see, even though been to NZ 3 times.
