"Our trip to New Zealand will, till I lose my memory entirely, be an extraordinary moment, marked by gorgeous vistas, terribly accommodating and considerate people, and great times amidst God's own green earth. Favourite parts? Where would one stop in the listing, how could one parse 'tween so many fine memories?"

What our clients have said:

"10. She did an amazing job and always with a smile on her face despite the demands. Awesome bus driver."
-- Jennifer Moyers (Atlanta, Georgia, United States) November 2011 Tui

"Lauren was awesome. An energetic, tactful, experienced guide for sure. The guides did their jobs so well behind the scenes. She loaded and unloaded heavy gear with a smile. Answered the same questions over and over from the group without becoming disgruntled or weary. Her sharing of the history in a fun story format was entertaining. She allowed us to get to know her personally a bit without becoming unprofessional. Her instructions were clear, stated with confidence. What amazed me the most was that usually in a group tour there is at some point some confusion over something - where or when to meet, etc. I never ever felt a sense of confusion. Nor did I observe or hear anyone on the tour unsure of what we were doing and when. That speaks volumes. "
-- Susan Pocklington (Empire, Michigan, United States) February 2011 Manuka

"The best. Lauren is a treasure. She shares her knowledge of customs and places without becoming overpowering. She is skilled at handling people, making everyone feel like part of the family. She is a great driver and excellent organiser."
-- Ann Robinson (Westhead, Lancashire, United Kingdom) January 2011 Manuka

"I want to be Lauren when I grow up. Clone her. Turn her loose on the world and all problems will be solved...with an impish grin and a devilish smile. All children on the planet should be blessed with her infinite patience while she teaches them. All adults who miss the experience are deficient."
-- Chris Conyers (Seattle, Washington, USA) February 2010 Rimu

"Lauren was full of cultural knowledge and I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we all really enjoyed hearing her stories and Maori tales. She was very sneaky at times, tricking us into eating some "chocolate" from the "chocolate tree". She was so much fun and I loved her sense of humor. I really admired her patience on the trip and her professionalism. "
-- Amy Patterson (Blair, Nebraska, USA) February 2010 Rimu

"Lauren was amazing! She was organized and responsible. I always felt safe with her in charge of us. She was able to accomodate a large group of people, which can be difficult to do. I also loved 'story time' and all of the information that she gave us about New Zealand! She was very enthusiastic and excited to show us around NZ... can't imagine a better guide than Lauren!"
-- Karli Morman (Omaha, Nebraska, USA) February 2010 Rimu

"The relationship that Lauren had with the kids was amazing and made our holiday. Let alone the big kids. She is amazing. Her cooking under pressure is amazing. She has a big heart. Handled sticky situations without batting an eye. My daughter has found a great role model. "
-- Robyn Pascoe (North Epping, New South Wales, Australia) December 2009 Kea Family

"I cannot not adequately express how impressed I was with Lauren. She more than earned my respect in her stamina, knowledge, experience, charisma and sheer brute strength :-). She is an awesome leader and exactly who Active New Zealand needs to bring great experiences to its customers."
-- Mike Martindale (North Carolina, USA) December 2009 Tui

"Beyond what I could have imagined or what I paid for! She was so strong physically and emotionally, in charge and in control yet having fun and staying relaxed. A delicate balance that she managed incredibly well."
-- Lisa McCally (California, USA) December 2009 Tui

"Lauren was a great leader. She was knowledgeable, helpful, fun to be around, personable. Lauren and [lead guide] Lofty made a super team. They truly enriched my experience and the level of enjoyment that I experienced. I would say it was a 10+."
-- Elena Jensen (California, USA) November 2009 Guide's Choice: Hoiho

"Lauren, what can I say, PERFECT!!!! "
-- Kevin Criscoe II (North Carolina, USA) August 2009 Winter Rimu

"Lauren was fantastic. She was positive, informative, friendly and fun. By the end of the two weeks it definantly felt like she was a friend and not just a guide. The food was amazing and she always pulled out the chocolate when we most needed it!!!!"
-- Ray Datson (United Kingdom) September 2009 Winter Rimu

"I thought Lauren did a very good job. I noticed that she spent time with each traveller and had a genuine interest in what the guest requested."
-- John Waite (Illinois, USA) Nov 2008 Guide's Choice: Hoiho

"I felt like she silently kept her eye out for everyone making sure everything was going well. That was great because it didn't feel like she was constantly checking up on us, but at the same time I felt like everything was in control."
-- Kyle Lovrien (Arizona, USA) July 2008 Winter Rimu

"Lauren is one in a million!!! Her ability to work with people is outstanding. Lauren's overall knowledge of activities and country was impressive."
-- Paula Goleta-Poirier (California, USA) Dec 2007 Kea Family

"Lauren was amazing. She was like a little piece of paradise -- no, a big piece of Paradise. She was very patient with me, and taught me a lot about New Zealand. Thank you, Lauren."
-- Sarah Beuter (Indiana, USA) Jan 2008 Kea Family

"We really liked Lauren! She had a great sense of timing and was really good at picking up on when one of the kids needed a little special attention. She and Lofty were good at being inclusive and getting the kids to interact with each other. She was very kind and patient and knew lots of fun games."
-- Debbie MacDonald (Shanghai, China) Dec 2007 Kea Family

"Lauren was great... both guides made the trip more than just a set of great activities. Lauren always seemed to be ready for what was coming and enthusiastic."
-- Jim Laffey (Colorado, USA) Dec 2007 Tui

"Lauren was extremely personable and a natural leader. Lots of yummy food too!"
-- Lynette Lin (New South Wales, Australia) Dec 2007 Tui

"Lauren was the perfect Co-Guide! She was sweet and understanding. I loved talking to her and learning about New Zealand. Her food was delicious and she was especially watchful for my father and his dietary needs. She made everything look effortless and I know that this took great effort and skill."
