This was a fabulous, well-curated trip. Covid made everything a little more challenging and I am pretty sure the guides were making many adjustments on the fly, but we were blissfully unaware. I feel like we saw the best of Yellowstone and had many experiences we would have missed if we had been trying to navigate this ourselves with a guidebook. It was so nice to just relax and take it all in without having to worry about any of the logistics.

As a carry over to Austin Adventures from Active Adventures I am thrilled at the way Austin (and its guides) were so helpful when Active failed to complete my accommodations the first evening. Bryan and David saved me from having to walk to another hotel in the rain and Carrie for finding me a place to sleep for the night! This trip was BEYOND my wildest expectations and the guides WERE AMAZING!! I feel like another trip to Yellowstone is in my future plans for sure. Thank you for the most amazing week!

Our original plans this year were to take the June 27th trip to Alberta, but of course Covid prevented that trip from running. One of the reasons why we initially chose that trip was due to the variety of activities on the Alberta itinerary - horseback riding, whitewater rafting, and snowshoeing across the icefields, in addition to hiking and biking. Admittedly, when we changed to the Bryce and Zion trip, we were concerned about the lack of variety of activities on this itinerary. All hiking and biking was not as appealing, but Bryce and Zion were definitely on our bucket list to get to at some point. Despite our reservations about the itinerary (specifically the lack of variety), we are really glad that we took this trip when we did. The parks were not overly crowded yet, and we did not have to worry about taking the shuttles since the vans were still allowed on the scenic byway. It was much more relaxing to take this trip on a group tour than try to see these parks on our own (especially Zion.) All in all, even though it was not our first choice for 2021, I feel like it worked out for the best, and we had a great opportunity to see 2 amazing parks (plus the Red Cliffs) before the heat and crowds really ramped up for the season.

I truly feel that the guides make the trip. Justin, Sarah and Danny were amazing! At first I was nervous about the trip having 15 guests, but Justin, Sarah and Danny did a wonderful job of keeping us all together. I was afraid it would be like herding cats but it was a great group of people and we always stayed together and on schedule.

I had hesitations about a guided group tour-esque vacation, but Austin Adventures truly exceeded each and every expectation - I wouldn't have wanted to do this trip without the wealth of knowledge and resources that Austin and my guides were able to provide.

We had wonderful guides (Kaila, Heather) who had a can-do, positive spirit and managed all the challenges of leading a tour in the current covid environment.
