The Santiago trip couldn't have been better: it was tops. It combined moderate daily walking on the most scenic highlights of the Camino with daily cultural excursions resulting in a thorough Spanish experience. David, our leader, was a gem. He has a strong background in history, art history and natural history and facilitated a seamless trip with his fine organization. This was our first trip with Active Adventures and I was surprised by the comprehensive nature of the tour. We enjoyed daily guided walks in the towns we visited led by knowledgeable, local historians, visits to active archeological sites, and culinary treats of the regional specialties. We had a really comfortable group of 13. Efforts had been made to make sure everyone's dietary needs were covered. I never could not have planned such a superlative tour separately. This was everything in one.

I really enjoyed this trip - we were fortunately to have knowledgeable, experienced and relentlessly upbeat guides for our trip. While the weather didn't always go our way, the hiking was spectacular and such a rewarding experience. A great group, good accommodation in lovely small villages and towns and some delicious food made this a thoroughly memorable trip. Warning - the hiking is challenging and you do need to train to enjoy it! Highly recommend.

I’ve experienced an Active Adventures trip before which was amazing but this was next level! So well organised, amazing guide, fantastic accomodation and food everywhere, and a great group of like minded travellers that we shared it with. And Spain and the Camino - words just don’t describe how good it is . This really is a trip not to be missed!

This trip wasn't what I expected. Having undertaken the The Dolomites Adventure the previous year, I imagined I'd have the same experience overall on the Tour du Mont Blanc Adventure. In actuality, it was quite different. The hiking was far more challenging and sometimes an honest slog. The food had 'interesting' ups (supremely delicious) and downs (meh). Sleep required a thick blanket of white noise to cover 'distractions'.
But this isn't a negative review... quite the opposite.
I enjoyed the test to my mental and physical states. Undertaking difficult hikes successively, sometimes eating food I didn't think was very good and not getting enough rest due to circumstances beyond my control... it all reinforced my opinion of my adaptability and physical toughness. Good and bad together, I enjoyed every minute of it.
In closing, the guides have my total admiration. They were friendly, informative and helpful. I look forward to booking a trip to Annapurna Basecamp or Everest Basecamp in the near future.
